Good luck with it all Edwina, looks a mammoth, messy task. Just curious, how are you tackling the sanding of all the presumed lead paint on those vj's? Have you got suits/masks etc? Please take a selfie if you do! mel x
We have ventilator masks and full body suits - and the little one booked into her Grandma's for a few days! It's going to be a huge and dirty job - but I promise I'll take photos ;-)
Well extra leg ham and christmas cake for you both to get enough energy to do the work and all the weight you put on from your christmas lunch will come off in your sauna suits whilst sanding.....that's got to be a bonus.....hard work but it makes so much sense to do it all at once particularly having lead paint as well. definitely with you on getting mess overwith in one go. We are waiting to get you roof done before we start any of that silliness, and then we will be up on the tressels to do the ceilings, ugh, done that before one Easter in our last house, not fun, but doesn't have to happen very often! Good luck with your xmas work! Better sanding than painting in this weather (it dries on the brush!).
we only sanded the really bad parts on our walls, and then painted over the rest. Probably NOT the thing to do, but turned out all right! (I did get a professional to do the casement windows however!)

ReplyDeleteGood luck to you both. We are doing some painting this weekend before we have new carpet laid. Hope it all goes well for you.
